With engaging stage presence, masterfully crafted songs, and sweet harmonies, Boston-based Matt and Shannon Heaton offer updated and traditional Irish tunes and songs with unapologetic American roots influences. Shannon combines vocal grace with instrumental prowess on Irish flute, whistles, and button accordion, while Matt provides a firm foundation on guitar and bouzouki, in addition to solid vocals.
Cornell’s free summer events series, which runs from June 23 to July 31, includes Tuesday performances at the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, Wednesday lectures at Call Auditorium in Kennedy Hall, and Friday concerts on the Arts Quad.
