The use of mating disruption, attract-and-kill, and plant volatiles all feature semiochemicals (pheromones or other chemical signals) to manage insect pests or affect their behavior. Marion Murray, IPM Project Leader at Utah State University, will discuss her Extension outreach work with semiochemicals in tree fruit orchards. She will also provide her background and experience in other biocontrol activities, and share her vision for the NYSIPM Program Biological Control Specialist position.
