Making tomatoes tastier: The relationship between fruit ripening, nutrition and consumer quality

Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Virtual Event

You may have noticed that store-bought tomatoes often don’t taste very good. That is because the fruit are usually picked before they are fully ripe, which enables them to remain fresh for longer in the grocery store – at the expense of flavor. Join BTI’s Jim Giovannoni as we talk about his efforts to figure out how to make tasty ripe tomatoes last longer.
