Making Sense of Emerging Open Access Models and Agreements

Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11:30am to 12:30pm

Olin Library, 106G 161 Ho Plaza

Academic libraries and publishers are experimenting with a range of novel approaches to supporting open access. We will provide and overview of two current models: subscribe to open (S20), and transformative agreements (TAs), and describe whether and how CUL is participating in either type of agreement. We will then open up the floor for a discussion of these types of agreements, and what benefits or drawbacks there might be to participation. We will provide a selective bibliography for participants who are motivated to learn more on their own, before or after this roundtable discussion.
