Is your employer monitoring your brain wave activity?   Can your feelings and thoughts be used against you in a court of law?  How can we protect our cognitive liberty from these threatening technological developments?

Nita Farahany is a futurist, ethicist, and law professor whose work focuses on the coming ”age of brain transparency.” In this talk, based on her new book The Battle for Your Brain: Defending the Right to Think Freely in the Age of Neurotechnology, she will discuss the ways in which our thoughts can already be tracked and hacked, the coming era of consumer brain wearables, and what these emerging technologies mean for our mental privacy, freedom of thought, and self-determination.

Books will be available for a signing after the talk.

This Milstein Program event and reception are open to the public.
