Lunch with Tom - Turkey Vulture (3/12/2025)

It can be difficult to miss this large dark bird as it gracefully soars overhead.  The Turkey Vulture's iconic behavior of finding, circling over, and then feeding on dead animals (carrion) is quite "dark".  It may then come as a shock that the Turkey Vulture is also one of the best harbingers of spring and rebirth in our area.  We will examine the well-known and less well-known aspects of this truly amazing bird.

Participants are invited to bring a lunch to enjoy with fellow community members, or purchase one from CCE's "Taste NY" store. 

Reservations are required, seniors (50+) only. Admission is free.
