Experimental Gallery, Tjaden Hall
Through explorations of the unconscious, the imagery in The Dream(er) emerges from dreams and repeated symbols that speak to a deep spiritual state and connection to ancient and primordial knowledge. These paintings and drawings are attempts to pull back the veil that separates the mundane realm from that of myth, archetype, and the spiritual. Painted alongside a study of psychologist Carl G. Jung's mystical writing, The Red Book, the work in this show draws on symbolic images from both mythological archetypes and the artist's own psychological landscape.
