DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Eun-ah Kim\n\nRobust dx2−y2 Superconductivity in I
nfinite-Layer Nickelates\n\nAbstract: Motivated by the recent observation
of superconductivity in Strontium doped NdNiO$_2$ (which we will review)\,
we construct a weak coupling theory of unconventional superconductivity i
n this system. Starting with first principles calculations\, we construct
  two distinct tight-binding models\, a simpler single-orbital as well as a
three-orbital model\, both of which capture the key low energy degrees o
f freedom to varying degree of accuracy. We study the superconducting ins
tability in both models in the weak-coupling limit. We find that in both
cases\, the dominant pairing tendency is in the d$_{x^2-y^2}$ channel\, an
alogous to the cuprate superconductors. \n\nPoster
