Experience the high-spirited Jewish folk music of eastern Europe with the Klez Project, a traditional klezmer band featuring clarinetist Allen Lutins and violinist Rima Grunes. At the heart of their repertoire is joyful music for weddings and bar mitzvahs, augmented by Israeli folk music, tunes from early twentieth-century American Yiddish theater productions, and modern compositions in the traditional style.
Cornell’s free summer events series, which runs from June 23 to July 31, includes Tuesday performances at the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, Wednesday lectures at Call Auditorium in Kennedy Hall, and Friday concerts on the Arts Quad.
