Food is a centerpiece in our lives. It exemplifies cultures. It anchors personal identities. We plan dates, schedules, and events around food. But how much do we think about how the food we eat affects our personal and collective wellness? Can we sort the major marketing campaigns from the science? How should we measure the value of the food we consume? Nutrition, ethics, sustainability, economics, and “Big Industry” all intersect and complete for space on our plates.
