Actor Jimmy Smits MFA '82, will be at the Schwartz Center for a question and answer session hosted by Professor Bruce Levitt. During his student days in Ithaca, in addition to roles on the Cornell stage, Smits also performed with the Ithaca Repertory Theatre (now the Hangar Theatre). Smits went on to forge an impressive career and is known for his portrayal of characters, such as high-powered attorney Victor Sifuentes on L.A. Law, Detective Bobby Simone on N.Y.P.D. Blue, and President Matt Santos on The West Wing.
