Join us a we learn how to make jam and do a community service project along with it.  Youth will learn the process of selecting fruit, preparation and how to make jam and do a hot water bath to preserve your product.

Due to the content and safety of our program, only youth that are 12 years of age are permitted to participate in this workshop.

All supplies will be provided for the workshop.  Youth will be able to take some product home with them to use as a fair exhibit.

We will be making 4 different kinds of jam, flavors to be determined.  We will put aside 4 jars of each flavor to be used in the 4-H Auction at the fair to be sold to benefit the Erie County 4-H Program.  Youth are encouraged to plan to participate in the auction if possible.  We will discuss further at the workshop.

We are only able to offer 12 spots for 2025 but we will be holding the workshop again in 2026 if you miss registering for this year.

Jam Making will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  We will order pizza for lunch and the cost for that will be $5.00 per person.
