Dave Lifka, vice president and chief information officer for Cornell, will talk about ‘Technical Debt’ and how it has affected the University.  CIT, along with many other units on campus, are suffering from increasing support and maintenance on legacy, duplicate systems, and/or hastily written applications.  This increases the overall cost to support and does not allow our teams to focus on innovation.  The discussion will be collaborative and focus on ideas and ways to reduce our “interest payments” on our technical debt burden.
