This summit aims to bring attention to the prevalence of human, sex, and labor trafficking in Tompkins County, New York State, and the broader United States and educate students on how their future careers might intersect with the issue.

The Summit will consist of a training from the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County about recognizing the signs of trafficking and a keynote presentation, followed by lunch and smaller break-out sessions in the areas of law, medicine, technology, and labor. Each breakout session will be led by a local professional, and will allow students interested in these focus areas to gain a deeper understanding of the issue.
