Event Details:

  • Title: Innovating for a Sustainable Future: Career Exploration in Environment and Conservation
  • Objective: Increase student awareness of career opportunities with the DEC and discuss topics related to environment, conservation and sustainability.
  • Format:
    • Introduction of the program and brief comments by Dean Houlton.
    • Panel discussion: On pressing environmental issues and challenges, and how students can shape their career paths.
    • DEC staff will share insights on internship and job opportunities and how to apply.

After the panel, students will move into a tabling event to meet and speak with DEC representatives to learn about specific areas of focus and employment within the DEC.

5-6PM: Opening Remarks by Dean Houlton & Panel Discussion

6-7PM: Career Fair with DEC Branches  

 

Audience: Students at all levels looking for Internships and/or Careers with the DEC.  

Majors: All Majors welcome!  The DEC is looking for students with a background in: Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Forestry, Geology, Research, Operations, Law, Emergency Response,  Environment, Conservation, Finance, Administration, Public Relations, Human Resources and more.
