Do you need funding for your Point-of-Care (POC) health solution? Meet with Professor David Erickson and Professor Saurabh Mehta to learn about the PORTENT Center’s 2025-26 Innovation Award Opportunity to support breakthrough POC technologies focused on nutrition, infection, and cancer.
Award Details:
- Total funds available: Approximately $500,000
- Project budgets: $50,000–$100,000
- Project duration: 12 months
- Application deadline: June 6, 2025
2025 Award Priorities:
- Nutrition – Technologies that support screening, diagnosis, and prevention of nutritional problems
- Infection – Multiplexed diagnostic tools for HIV, co-infections, acute febrile illnesses, neglected tropical diseases, mosquito-borne illnesses, and more
- Cancer – Solutions that expand cancer screening and diagnosis at the community and clinic level
- Proposals aligned with Digital Health, AI & Connectivity, and Wellness solutions are strongly encouraged

A member of the POCTRN network, the PORTENT Center is focused on supporting development, clinical validation, commercialization, and deployment of point-of-care technologies, so providers can intervene sooner, patients stay healthier, and health care costs decline.
