This presentation is part of the overall conference programming for Hotel Ezra Cornell 99 (HEC). Hotel Ezra Cornell is a three-day student-run conference and a 99-year tradition of the Hotel School, making it one of the oldest organizations at Cornell University. Students organize speakers, networking events, food and beverages, and workshops with the goal of connecting hospitality professionals, students, and alumni at the leading hospitality program in the United States. Students learn about all aspects of hospitality, event planning, operations and more through hands-on experience. HEC programming in the Statler Auditorium is open to the public and all are welcome!

Ronald McDonald House-New York (RMH-NY) offers a seamless circle of support for families of seriously ill children undergoing treatment in New York City Hospitals, providing accommodations, meals, transportation, and an array of recreational, educational and wellness services at low or no cost. RMH-NY is expanding its programming beyond the House to include family rooms and remote services to public and safety net hospitals throughout the five boroughs of New York.
In this expansion RMH-NY commits to building family-centered care spaces enhancing patient care and satisfaction while ensuring physical and psychological comfort by supporting both privacy and opportunity for quiet collective activities, access to snacks and age-appropriate toys and activities, noise reduction, and the use of child-friendly colors, fabrics, and art, in service to keeping families together within our seamless circle of support.

Despite navigating serious pediatric illness, families and healthcare partners extol the Houses track record of improving health outcomes while containing costs. By engaging families, healthcare providers, philanthropy, corporations and community-based organizations RMH-NY tailors services, documents impact, and deepens partnerships and lasting connections, creating a robust model of care at the nexus of hospitality and healthcare.
