Join Human Centered Design for an inspiring artist talk featuring Joe George, a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY, working in painting, 3D modeling, and tattooing, among other mediums. His unconventional tattoo artwork has garnered great attention on social media.
His work predominantly uses texture and context to modify the surfaces of objects, bodies, and meshes. Since receiving a BFA from Pratt Institute in 2015, he has worked to view and interpret these as increasingly interchangeable. Joe George is the 2023 Hybrid Body Lab Artist-in-Residence.
This talk and residency are funded by the National Science Foundation and the Hybrid Body Lab.
