"How the Light Gets In": Migration, Displacement, & Exile

Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 5:00pm to 7:00pm

William T. Keeton House, Sign-up @ House Office
4 Forest Park Lane, Ithaca, NY

Join Law Professor & House Fellow Beth Lyon on an exclusive tour of "How the Light Gets In," a Johnson exhibit that explores im/migration and the cracks that develop in our notions of borders and nation states. Artworks address mobility, vulnerability, and the loss of and yearning for home, while placing dual spotlights on the ongoing refugee crisis in Europe and the consequences of US immigration policy along its southern border. HF Beth, in collaboration with a Johnson curator, will offer an interdisciplinary discussion of the artwork and U.S asylum policy. Meet at House Office at 5pm or at the Johnson at 5:25
