Join us for a free In-Person opportunity to participate in a Virtual (webinar) event about How To Recycle Right: Navigating the Recycling Industry.
Experts from Syracuse University Institute for Sustainability Engagement, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Division of Materials Management, and Sunnking Sustainable Solutions will share important information about recycling.
Participants will walk away from this program with a better understanding of the recycling landscape including curbside single-stream, return to store, flow of recycling materials in NYS, regulated recycling facilities, NYS Solid Waste Management Plan, and challenges of hard-to-recycle materials like electronics and batteries.
Presenters
Lindsay Eberhart, Program Associate, Syracuse University Institute for Sustainability Engagement. Topics include- Recycling Basics, RecycleRightNY,com program, Center For Sustainable Materials Management Potential Recycling Markets and Material Flows project.
Victoria (Tori) Lannon, Environmental Program Specialist, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Region 8, Division of Materials Management. Topics include- NYS Solid Waste Management Plan, Overview of Recycling and Scrap Facilities, and NYS Recycling Updates.
Paola Viera, Community Programs Manager, Sunnking Sustainable Solutions. Topics include: Electronics Recycling, and Challenges for Hard to Recycle Materials.
