Home Making: Artists and the Domestic is a collaborative exhibition between the Johnson Museum of Art and the College of Human Ecology (CHE) for the College’s centennial that explores how modern and contemporary artists have redefined and reconceptualized the concept of home from the mid-1960s to today.

At this hybrid program, Danielle Dreilinger, author of The Secret History of Home Economics; Michelle Grabner, a Wisconsin-based artist, writer, and cocurator of the 2014 Whitney Biennial; and Rhonda Gilmore (senior lecturer in Human Centered Design) will be joined by other CHE faculty to discuss and expand on these topics as raised by the exhibition. Following the program, visitors are invited to explore the gallery.
