This panel will bring together two emerging scholars who will speak on the history of landscape and its representation in the Ottoman Empire and Turkey from the 19th century through to the present. The featured speakers are Berin Golonu (University at Buffalo) and Deniz Turker (University of Cambridge).

This panel is part of an event series, "New Approaches to Scholarship and Pedagogy of Ottoman and Turkish Architecture," organized by Esra Akcan (Cornell University) and Peter Christensen (University of Rochester), as part of Central New York Humanities Corridor.

The co-sponsor, Central New York Humanities Corridor, is a unique regional collaboration between Syracuse University, Cornell University, the University of Rochester, the New York Six Consortium, and other liberal arts schools and colleges in the central New York region.
