Julián Casanova, professor of History at the University of Zaragoza and member in residence at Princeton's Institute for Advanced Study, will give the lecture "History and Memory of the Spanish Civil War" at 4:30 in Klarman G42. Dr. Casanova is author of The Spanish Republic and Civil War (2010), Anarchism, the Republic and Civil War in Spain: 1931–1939 (2005), and A Short History of the Spanish Civil War (2013). 

Co-sponsored by the Departments of Romance Studies and History, the Society for the Humanities, and the Cornell Institute for European Studies.
