Heather Cleary’s translations include Roque Larraquy’s Comemadre, Sergio Chejfec’s The Incompletes, and a collection of Oliverio Girondo’s poetry for New Directions. She holds a PhD from Columbia University and teaches at Sarah Lawrence College. Her book, The Translator’s Visibility: Scenes from Contemporary Latin American Fiction, is forthcoming with Bloomsbury.
