Please note: When selecting costumes, the CRC recommends being mindful of the risk of cultural appropriation.Β Β There are a variety of definitions of cultural appropriation; in general it refers to the use of objects or elements of a non-dominant culture in a way that reinforces stereotypes and/or demonstrates a lack of understanding of the historical context of, or the meanings behind, these elements, thus can be considered offensive to members of that cultural group.”

This sounds fun and all, but being Cornell dining STAFF works all meals. The 11:30-12 is nearly impossible for anyone to attend. How about an online submission instead? We are working and there’s no way we can get out of work to parade around. That’s kind of unfair of a contest.
