American universities remain the envy of the world—and Cornell University is a jewel in the crown of American higher education. In researching their soon-to-be published book, Cornell: A History, 1940-2015, Glenn Altschuler and Isaac Kramnick were struck by the changes and continuities in Cornell's faculty and students over the last 75 years. In this free lecture sponsored by Cornell's School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions, they will reflect on the ways in which the institution and its community are evolving.
