Join the Broome-Tioga Farm to School Team and Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments (VINES) for a day-long, hands on training to get ready for the Spring growing season. The day will start with breakfast at 8am at the VINES straw bale office building at 157 Susquehanna St Binghamton, NY 13901. We will then walk to the Binghamton Urban Farm for a tour and to learn about their growing practices by helping to jump start their growing season. The day will continue with lunch at the CCE-Broome farmers market building, a demonstration at the Cutler Botanic garden with Master Gardeners, and a debrief and discussion about lessons learned. Please dress for the weather, and to be engaged in gardening work.
