Growing herbs is an easy hobby that’s good for you too! In this class, learn about different varieties of kitchen herbs, how to grow them, when to harvest, and the different ways to preserve them. Growing herbs in garden beds as well as growing in containers will be featured. Join Extension Nutrition Educator, Mary Fero, as she demonstrates cooking a main dish using herbs from the Parker F. Scripture Botanical Herb Garden. Master gardeners will also lead the class on a tour of the Herb Gardens and show you how easy it can be to grow your own herbs. Sample food and snacks featuring herbs and take home recipes and suggestions on how to best use herbs for good health.
