Hello Clinton, Franklin and Essex County 4-H Club Families!
It’s time again for the 4-H Horse Fun Show. The Fun Show will be Sunday, September 10th, 2017. The Fun Show will start at 8 AM and be held at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. You may arrive one hour before the first class begins.
It includes English and Western Equitation and Pleasure classes, Trail, Jumping, and Games. Classes will be split as needed (note: horses and ponies will ride in the same class unless the class size is large enough to split.) Showmanship classes are separated by age instead of riding level. Beginner Canter youth may enter regular game classes where no beginner canter class is offered. Otherwise, please enter classes labeled with your riding level. Walk Trot Canter riders, please enter classes according to your 4-H age. Please enter for the same 4-H age as you participated in with Fair (for example, if you were a Cloverbud at Fair, you are a Cloverbud for this event, too).
You don’t need a horse to participate; volunteer to help in the ring or show booth! We need volunteers to help with gates, ribbons, annoucing, and more. Clinton County 4-Hers who volunteer or show during the Fun Show earn a point for the 2016-2017 4-H year. You must register by the deadline date to earn a point.
Please bring your own lunch. Garbage is carry-in, carry-out for both events. Thank you for helping us keep the Fairgrounds clean and well-maintained.
There is a $10 entry fee per rider which includes all classes for the day. 4-Hers who bring horses need to submit a copy of their horse’s rabies and Coggins’ papers (if we don't already have a current copy on file), the entry fee, and the registration form to the CCE Clinton County Office by September 1st to be entered to ride in the Fun Show. Riding Level Evaluations are due September 1st, too. After completing this online form, please mail your payment (if you are paying by a check made out to CCE Clinton County) and horse health papers to CCE Clinton County 6064 St Rt 22 Plattsburgh NY 12901 or email electronic documents to clb299@cornell.edu.
