A total lunar eclipse will grace our skies on the night of Sunday, September 27th. Weather permitting, the Cornell Astronomical Society will open the Fuertes Observatory (on North Campus) to the public to view the spectacular event! The eclipse will begin around 8:15pm, reach greatest eclipse (furthest into the Earth's shadow) at 10:48pm, and end at 1:22am on Monday, September 28th. For about an hour (between 10:11pm and 11:23pm), the Moon will be completely red in color!
