Student Debate with students from the Cornell Speech & Debate Society and the Cornell Political Union to be held in ILRLR 3300: Advocacy & Debate.
Please join us for the final event in our debate series focused on Cornell's year=long theme, Freedom of Expression. Our last debate, co-sponsored by the ILR School and the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, Is a Policy of Absolute Freedom of Speech, Without Exceptions, the Best Policy?, will be held on Wednesday, April 10th in 305 Ives Hall. Ariel Avgar, Senior Associate Dean of the ILR School and Colleen Barry, Dean of Cornell's Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy will give opening remarks.
The ILR School, home of the Cornell Speech and Debate Society, presents this series showcasing formal discourse on timely and controversial topics.
Cornell Speech & Debate Society hosts the debate series in collaboration with the ILR Office of Engaged & Experiential Programs, Einhorn Center for Community Engagement, SC Johnson College of Business, and the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy.
