Free Speech and Fashion: A Conversation with Mary Beth Tinker

Join us for a conversation with free speech activist Mary Beth Tinker of the landmark supreme court case Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District, which affirmed First Amendment rights for students and teachers at public schools and established that clothing and accessories could be a form of constitutionally-protected symbolic speech. This is a hybrid event, with audience in person and Tinker joining by Zoom.
