4-H Beyond Ready: Building Skills for High School and Beyond

Is your child ready for high school — and beyond?

This summer, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County’s 4-H Program is launching Beyond Ready, a week-long program designed to help middle school students build confidence, leadership, and practical life skills before entering high school.

Participants will engage in expert-led workshops, team-building activities, and real-world learning experiences focused on:

• Communication & Public Speaking


• Financial Literacy


• Résumé Building & Interview Skills


• Health & Wellness


• Leadership Development

Beyond Ready is designed to help youth grow academically, socially, and emotionally while connecting with positive adult mentors and peers from across Rockland County.

The program will be led by Kristin Ruggiero, Rockland County’s 4-H Youth Development Educator, along with Cornell Cooperative Extension staff, volunteers, and local professionals.

Space is limited to 20 participants.
