Cornell families have been coping with tremendous disruption to their work/life experience since March. Public school closures/delays/odd schedules, supporting learning needs of children, the reduced availability of care programs, health concerns with using care options, limited access to nursing home/aging facilities, closure of special services, and challenging health/safety policies have all contributed to higher stress, anxiety, and fatigue. As we transition into the next academic year, there are still many unknowns for caregivers. Even with plans in place, they can easily be disrupted by a number of situations.
In this program, we will explore the complexity of these challenges and how to prepare ahead of time for the disruptions that may impact caregiving plans and work. Learn strategies for evolving how and when work gets done to the betterment of the whole team, and the nuances of various forms of workplace flexibility.
Presented by Michelle Artibee, Director, Workforce Wellbeing - Division of Human Resources
