Food production, access, and distribution shape the health of people, communities, and ecosystems alike. The Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability and the Cornell Joan Klein Jacobs Center for Precision Nutrition and Health will host a conversation exploring food as medicine — for human health, soil health, and resilient communities. Glenn Lopez, a physician-turned-regenerative farmer and founder of Rancho Pacaya in Guatemala, will join Cornell faculty to discuss how restoring food systems can improve nutrition, public health, and environmental sustainability in some of the world’s most food-insecure regions. Drawing from decades in medicine and community health, Lopez brings a unique perspective on the links between healthcare, agriculture, and climate resilience.
Speakers:
- Glenn Lopez, Rancho Pacaya, Guatemala
