Finding Inclusive Community: Alumni Conversations on Thriving in the Workplace
Monday, January 29, 2024 5:30pm to 6:30pm

About this Event
As you start your job and internship search or consider that exciting job offer, do you ever wonder about the work/life balance and what defines an inclusive, safe community in the workplace and beyond? Join us for an eye-opening event where you'll gain the tools to navigate these crucial questions. Learn how to decipher workplace cultures, understand the intricacies of work/life balance, and identify the markers of an inclusive and safe community. Connect with and learn from young alumni who have experienced early career success and challenges. Conversations will focus on supporting students with marginalized identities, including BIPOC, LGBTQ and individuals with disabilities. To foster an open and safe space for dialogue, we won't be recording the event. But for all registered individuals, we will provide a document that will include advice from each alum. Allies and students exploring equity and inclusion and community empowerment are also welcome to attend. Open to all Cornell students. If you'd like to request accessibility accommodations, please contact mm2478@cornell.edu. (If possible, by Jan. 24). Featured Alumni: - Abirami (Abi) Dandapani, B.S. Hotel & Restaurant Administration '21 | Consultant at Capco, Charlotte, NC - Amairani Marin Tovar, B.S. Environmental and Sustainability Science | Analyst at Public Works Partners - Briana Fullwood, B.S.
