Film Screening: Brothers on the Line

Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 5:00pm

Ives Hall, 105
B07 Tower Rd, Ithaca, NY 14853, USA

“Brothers on the Line” documents the journey and legacy of the Reuther brothers—Walter, Roy, and Victor—labor leaders and organizers in the early 20th century who were instrumental in the direction and guidance of the UAW (United Auto Workers).  Narrated by Martin Sheen and directed by Victor’s grandson Sasha Reuther, the film follows the brothers from the shop floors in the 1930s to organizers and then leaders in collective bargaining, civil rights activism, and international labor solidarity.
