Mastering Fermentation - Food Preservation Workshop 2025

WHEN:  Wednesday, October 29, 2025

TIME:  6pm-7:30pm

LOCATION: Vince's Park (Corner of Rtes. 318 and 5 & 20, Seneca Falls, NY 13148)

Cost: $10/per person. Scholarships available.

Fermented foods are preserved using an age-old process that not only boosts the food’s shelf life, but also gives your body a boost of healthy probiotics, which are live microorganisms crucial to healthy digestion. Vegetables in season now, such as cabbage (Sauerkraut) are delicious fermented and will preserve well into the winter.

Led by CCE Seneca Master Food Preservers through hands-on demonstrations, participants will learn how to safely make sauerkraut, apple cider vinegar, sourdough and fermented pickles, along with talking about and tasting yogurt and fire cider

Participants will receive educational materials, taste samples, and have a jar of sauerkraut to take home.

If you are unable to access the internet to register, please call our CCE Seneca Office at 315-539-9251.
