August 3rd - Buying Your Small Farm Dream - Learn the basics of finding the right property for starting a small hobby farm or business. 


August 10th - Market Gardening 101 - Evaluating profitable crops and markets, grow season planning, legal requirements, sanitation and food safety. 


August 17th - Poultry 101 - Learn the basics of raising poultry for eggs and meat. 


August 24th - Extreme Season Extension of Salad Greens - Economics of winter growing, hydroponics, stacked indoor production using artificial lighting, use of cold frames, hot beds and high tunnels. 


August 31st - Rabbitry 101 - Learn the basics of raising rabbits for pets or meat. 


September 7th - Hogs 101 - Learn the basics of getting started in raising hogs. 


September 14th - Beef Cattle 101 - Learn the basics of getting started in raising beef cattle. 


All workshops will begin at 5:30 PM and will take place at the CCE Jefferson office (203 N. Hamilton St. Watertown, NY).
