 ill offer advice on preparing for an ever-changing workplace. Alums will d
 iscuss their academic trajectories\, networking\, internships and employme
 nt\, and what they wish they had known when they were students at Cornell.
  \n\nJoin us for light lunch (for those attending in person) and a virtual
  conversation followed by Q & A with Latina/o alumni\, 429 Rockefeller Hal
 l. Open to all.\n \n\nOctober 23: Andres Holzer-Torres '06 Engineering/Com
 puter Science\n\nAndres Holzer-Torres\, aikidoka\, dog parent\, citizen of
  the world. Andres moved to Venezuela after being born in Ithaca while his
  parents finished their PhDs. He returned to Ithaca\, to attend Cornell un
 iversity after finishing high school in Venezuela. After graduating he spe
 nt time across a variety of industries (finance at UBS\, financial consult
 ing at JP Morgan\, healthtech\, market research\, cybersecurity) and compa
 ny life stages (massive multi-national at UBS\, employee 5 in a seed stage
  startup at Picnic) working in the software engineering space. Andres was 
 an individual contributor for 15 of those years\, and has been doing manag
 ement over the last 5. \n\nNovember 13:  Julio Alex Albarracin '23\n\nAlex
  has worked in investments and finance industry for over a decade at firms
  including Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. Experience as a trader and inv
 estment banker. Former Teach For America Corps Member\, having taught high
  school math in Brooklyn. Graduated from the SC Johnson College of Busines
 s with a Master’s in Real Estate in 2023.\n\nThis series funded by the L
 atina/o Studies Program in collaboration with Cornell Latino Alumni Associ
 ation\, LSSO Student Success Office\, and the Latino Living Center at Corn
 ell University.
