Exploring Connections between Well-Being, Identity, and Teaching
Monday, February 29, 2016 12:15pm to 1:15pm
About this Event
View mapGetting started at Cornell and balancing all the responsibilities that come with being a new faculty member presents enormous opportunities as well as challenges. But you are not alone! Based on conversations with other faculty, we’ve created a discussion series designed to forge connections with your peers across campus, where you will:
• Explore your identity as a Cornell faculty member
• Articulate who you are as teacher
• Consider how what you do in the classroom is connected with your identity and well-being
• Discuss strategies to achieve balance and well-being
We invite you to join in on these interactive conversations held on four Mondays in February (2/1, 2/8, 2/22 & 2/29, we are skipping 2/15 for the February Break) from 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. If you would like to participate, we would ask you to commit to attending all four of the conversations. Lunch and drinks will be provided.
Click here to apply. If you have any questions, please contact Erin Jones at eaj67@cornell.edu.
This program is made possible by a Bringing Theory to Practice Grant from the American Association of Colleges & Universities.
