HOW TO ARRANGE A WOMAN deals with the intersection of old and new media representations of gender inequality as experienced by a teenage girl. Through several paintings and a tarot card set printed on tabloid magazine covers, Eve de Rubertis attempts to reconcile the supposed futility of Fourth Wave Feminism with the rampant commodification of the female body in today's media. She references pop art and old tarot illustrations in order to construct a visual instruction manual for the viewer on how to slowly achieve what today's mass-produced and hyper-saturated world is already achieving: the political death of female autonomy.
