Evaluating Wines: The Flavor in Your Glass

Friday, July 30, 2021 at 3:30pm to 4:30pm

Virtual Event

Want to justify all that wine you plan to consume this summer? Consider it homework.

See, swirl, sniff, sip, spit, and savor are the 'S' steps we'll follow in our wine evaluations, plus an overarching 'S' for "science."

In this course, we’ll concentrate on one step of the wine evaluation process each day and discuss the important wine flavor chemicals we perceive. You’ll learn how these flavor chemicals develop in grapes and wines and how the winemaking process changes concentrations of these chemicals and impacts your wine experience.

During our live sessions, we'll participate in a sensory activity or a guided wine tasting relevant to the day’s lecture.

Grab a glass and join us!
