Exhibition Abstract
Nature and the Mind weaves together the brushstrokes of traditional Korean paintings and the nuances of black and white analog photography, inviting the audience to explore the elegance of the natural world. The works include a range of prints, photographs, and sculptures, with an aim to foster an appreciation for the artistry and diversity found in both traditional ink paintings and contemporary photography.

Exhibitor Biographies
Asuka Kurebayashi and Erin Choi (both B.F.A. '26) are artists based in Ithaca, New York, with a background from Seoul. While Choi focuses on the history of Sumukhwa and the intricacy behind papermaking, Kurebayashi focuses on the traditional Japanese aesthetics of wabi-sabi and investigates how the natural environment evokes feelings of tranquility and consolation.
