Electrolyte is an eclectic trio from Central New York that seeks to respectfully agitate evolving musical traditions from across the globe. Deeply rooted in jazz and prog rock, these three electro-acousticians are eager to do more, and sound vast with less. It consists of Ithacan and Professor of the Practice Paul Merrill who plays a collection of quarter-tone brass instruments, keyboards, and effects; Rochesterian Peter Chwazik, master of the nine-string electric bass; and Denmark native and percussionist, Simon Bjarning.
