Weekly meeting to discuss topical papers about ecology and evolution of infectious diseases, drawn from both new and older literature. The topics could include:
- Pathogen/parasite and/or host evolution, immunity, virulence
- Pathogen/parasite transmission, behavioral manipulation
- Community level interactions impacting pathogens/diseases
- Spatial disease ecology
- Epizootiology/epiphytology, population genetics
- Emerging diseases
- Impact of climate change, extinction/extirpation on pathogens/parasites/diseases
Attendance and participation are open to anyone who is interested.
Cornell students may enroll for credit under course number ENTOM 6900 or BioEE 6900, when offered.
