Don't Get Ticked New York! How to Identify, Avoid and Remove Ticks

Dr. Matt Frye, an Extension Educator with NYS IPM at Cornell University will dispel popular myths about ticks and tick-borne diseases.  Attendees will learn how to identify the common ticks that bite people and pets, ways to protect themselves from ticks when engaging in outdoor activities, methods to survey for and manage ticks on their property, and safe, effective tick removal techniques.  Attendees will also hear from campus-based reserchers that address tick concerns.
