Donatella Di Cesare is Professor of Philosophy at the Sapienza University of Rome, author of Terror and Modernity (2019), Heidegger and the Jews (2018), Torture (2018), Gadamer: A Philosophical Portrait (2013), Utopia of Understanding (2012).

This event is co-sponsored by the Departments of Romance Studies and German Studies, the Institute for German Cultural Studies, the Jewish Studies Program, and the Cornell Institute for European Studies.
