Domestic violence is often thought of as a private relationship issue. However, it has far-reaching impacts outside of the relationship and specifically within our workplace and on campus.
This training will give managers and HR professionals an understanding of:
- What constitutes domestic violence and the prevalence of it.
- The signs an employee may be experiencing abuse.
- On and off-campus resources that are available to help.
- Ways to effectively respond that address the safety and wellbeing of the victim as well as the entire workplace.
- If, how, when, and where to report concerns related to domestic violence.
- Labor law protections for victims and reasonable accommodations.
