What is metadata and why do we need it? Most graduate students and researchers will work on a research project with at least one other person. What happens when people leave research projects taking their knowledge, methods, and data with them? Or, when people forget or misplace things a year out from the project? Good metadata can help make up for human fallibilities. Join this workshop to learn more about metadata for science and how it ensures you will be able to find, use, preserve, and re-use data in the future. Presenters: Wendy Kozlowski, Data Curation Specialist, and Amelia Kallaher, Applied Social Sciences Librarian
